Protect your investment

Ok, my first impressions were "Wow, they made it to my house in one piece". I was skeptical because I received them yesterday and the weather was beyond poor. Rain and high winds, so the delivery guy just tossed it over the gate onto the concrete. By the time I got to it the box was a limp noodle. I unboxed and felt at ease. These things are sturdy.Unfortunately I have to hate on the previous review. I didn't have any quality control problems, both fit on the decks, nice and snug. This product tends to get a lot of negativity because of the price. People tend to forget the cost of a brand new set of Tech 12's at 1-$1200 USD, I'll gladly spend $120 to protect my gear. It's a drop in the bucket compared to the amount of money I have put into equipment. I only wish this product existed 10 yrs ago because I would have owned them then. I always hated the original covers because they don't sit right unless you hinge your decks (lame). I have 2 flight boxes but covering them is also a pain and dangerous(bent tonearm, thanks to TSA). Also, I don't understand why you would want to play vinyl and then put the covers on. That was the intended purpose for the original dust covers, not these. I have 3 cats, 1 dog and a lovely blond haired girlfriend but without the covers, in 1 day I would accumulate enough dust and hair that my needles would pick up the fuzz...even being cleaned 2 days prior!These puppies are reliable and sturdy and fall into place without much effort, now I have to figure a way to stow them within arms reach. I'm sure 3M makes a perfect hook that I could slap on my stand.Coming from a guy who loves his techs to death but after TSA bending tone arms and the ability to clone a cat from 2 inches of dust and fur. I kicked myself for not at least bringing the OEM dust covers with me when I moved. This sure as heck beats my initial idea of finding a big enough grill cover for protection.YOU MUST BUY THEM!

Perfect Fit

I bought this and a deck saver for the Rane 62z mixer because I have a couple of cats that would love to walk all over my gear.. Cat hair getting inside the mixer and fader area would cause issues. This fits perfectly and looks great on the mixer. The slight tint adds to the look as well.

Awesome diaper bag for the OCD mom!

I was trying to find this bag for my sister and was surprised there were no other reviews on it--so I'll write as detailed of one as I can!I have owned this diaper bag (and used it daily!) for about 10 months now and it truly looks as good as new yet. It's the 5th diaper bag I've owned and by far my favorite. I absolutely LOVE all the pockets on the outside...most of my others have pockets on the inside, and 1-2 zippered pockets on the outside along with some bottle pockets on the sides, but I've never been able to make that work. If you stuff the pockets on the inside, there really isn't any room for anything in the main compartment of the bag, yet most of the pockets aren't big enough to hold everything I want them to inside. This bag, however, has TEN pockets on the outside, which is awesome when you're holding a crying baby and trying to find/reach what you're looking for. I keep things like my nursing cover, burp cloths, Kleenix, wipes, snack bars (for my preschooler), etc. in those outside pockets---things you want handy the instant the baby spits up all over! I don't use the bottle holders on the sides for bottles, though they're much roomier than most...they're so big, actually, that they're great for rash cream, nose bulbs, medicine, etc. I cloth diaper and this leaves plenty of room inside the main compartment for our diapers, wetbags, etc.Some basic info about the bag: Their website says it measures 22x14x4.5. I don't get that when I measure it--more like 17x14x4.5. It weighs about 2.4 lbs empty, which seems pretty standard. It's really heavy-duty canvas-like fabric; like I said--ours still looks brand new.The Pockets: When you look at the pic, ALL of those pockets run from where you can see the trim to basically the bottom of the bag...so those two on top are DEEP pockets, then they obviously get more shallow as you go down. They're all pretty flat, but I've stuffed them with quite a bit and it's never caused the bag to tip over. The middle line of pockets is actually one big pocket all the way across that can be closed in the middle with velcro...so if you have something wider/need to stuff it more, there's plenty of room there. There is also a large (basically the size of the bag) pocket on the back that again, has a small velcro closure at the top...that's where I keep the (included) changing pad and an extra receiving blanket. There are also 6 pockets inside the bag with elastic openings.There is a strap system on the back designed to hold the diaper bag tight to a stroller so that you aren't banging into it while you push your stroller...though I never take the time to use them, the strap is long enough that I always just throw it over the handle and go.It does have metal stops on the bottom corners to keep the bottom of the bag from sitting directly on the ground.The strap is adjustable via a belt-like buckle system...I'm 6'0" and I carry it on my shoulder on the 2nd-to-last setting. It doesn't have a separate pad on it but it's a thicker strap with rounded edges that "sticks" pretty well to your clothing, and doesn't feel uncomfortable at all like a cheap shoulder strap. I have never felt like it's dug into my shoulder at all, even fully loaded.The only negative I can come up with is I wish the zipper in the middle was a tad bit more durable feeling/smoother. I've definitely had worse, and it's held up really well to 10 months of use, with no signs of weakening, so it's really just me being super picky.Hope this helps someone! I can't believe these aren't more popular, though I do know they are pretty hard to find. I just happened to find this one on sale at a local cloth diaper store where I had some credit I needed to use up! Don't hesitate to buy this bag! (especially if you're an organization freak like I am, lol)Oh--and hubby loves it too because it doesn't look girly and he always knows where to find stuff in it!

No Comparison to ANY Other Juicer in this price range

I had the Juiceman Pro 210 juicer and now this one. I alternate between being really into juicing to not juicing at all. So a $400-$500 investment in a single gear masticating juicer does not make sense.I am currently into a 'really into juicing' phase, so much so that I overworked the poor Juiceman juicer a while ago.Since I had no other point of reference at the time, my only issue with the Juiceman Pro 210 was that the feeder was small. I did wonder what it would be like to have a juicer accept an apple or orange without having to quarter it. But that really was the only issue. No complaints with plastic or motor or quantity of juice.This Breville juicer beats the Juiceman hands down in EVERY category that I can think of. It has the power, it's compact enough to fit where I need it to on my kitchen counter and more:1. Speed Counts - I'm a busy mom. I work, I cook, I chauffeur and somewhere in there I need to find the time to juice. I can't wait 30 minutes for a machine to work through veggies and fruit *at low temperature* and 100% dry pulp to get my juice. I can take out 10mins. 5 mins to prep the veggies and fruits (I peel my organic carrots before I juice them as an example, or to peel oranges, or wash the spinach). 1 min to juice it all. Literally. 1 min. Regardless of what you throw at it. And I juice for four glasses at a time. And then 2-3 mins for cleanup. So the long pole in the tent is the prep - not dealing with the juicer - which is great.2. Juice Quantity Counts - Could the juice output be higher with some of the higher end products? Likely. But the cost of the higher end items plus the extra time to wait for the juice is not worth it to me. The pulp for 'hard' produce like carrots and beets feels very dry to me with this juicer. The difference between the Juiceman and the Breville is really in how it deals with the soft produce. I had to run the soft produce pulp through the Juiceman twice and I got equal quantities of juice. With the Breville 98XL, it is so dry the first go around that it absolutely is not worth my time to deal with the pulp a second time. I figure I get about 5% more juice by running the pulp through again. If that's not a big deal to you, then don't worry about it. What is 5% of 4 oranges worth to you is the question.3. Ease of Use Counts - The machine is simple to put together and take apart. You will have to work on cleaning any juicer. No getting around that, no matter which one you use. Cleaning this juicer is not complicated and easily done. I clean mine right after I juice and drink. Another trick to ease cleanup is to put a plastic grocery bag in your refuse container. It's one less thing to wash. Pick up and drop into trash or empty into compost bin.4. Stability Counts - You don't want a juicer running around on your counter. The last thing you want is to juice two carrots or beets and have that end up on the counter and stain instead of in your juice container because the juicer isn't sturdy. This juicer held it's own against tough produce and I have never had issues.5. Can it Juice Green? - By green, I mean can it handle leafy greens, which are a problem for most low-end juicers. Not this one. I juice spinach, red swiss chard and kale regularly. And stringy greens like celery as well. And it handles it all well.6. Do I need to be a stud to handle this? - I've dealt with juicer scenarios where I had to use both arms and my body weight to push push push the produce through. Not this juicer. It gobbles up produce as I feed it in. Love that it's speedy and powerful.So, don't think about it. Whether you're an all time juicer or a sometimes juicer, this is a great product for a good price.PS: Centrifugal juicers do not heat up your produce any more than masticating juicers. There have been studies done on this. Look them up. Plus - a masticating juicer takes 20-30 mins to 'chew' through the fruit and veggies to make juice. That means the first piece of juice would have been oxidizing for 20-30 mins before I could drink it. So really - the centrifugal juicer is quick, saves you money, saves you time and is easy to clean.Update: Dec 31stI still love this juicer. I usually juice twice a day. It handles all produce well. The ONLY issue I have had is with juicing pineapples. It seems to leak a little underneath the plastic, probably because I am putting in a lot of the pineapple in at the same time. The overflow of juice inside the juicer as it is being poured out into the container probably accounts for the minor leakage. In other words, slow down when juicing a large quantity of a super juicy fruit or veggie(I juice an entire pineapple sometimes) by alternating with less juicy produce, or give the juicer an extra 5-10 seconds to empty itself into the container.Update March 1stStill loving it! :)Update Nov 2ndI've had several people ask so reporting that yes, I am still loving this juicer. :)

Wow Juice Fountain

The Breville JE98XL was our replacement to our decade old Jack Lalanne Juicer. Wow, what a difference. If I had known what I was missing I would have made the switch a long time ago. We get a lot more juice out of our fruits and veggies with the Breville than with the Jack Lalanne. I can only imagine how much money was wasted over the years by not getting everything out of our produce. The Breville also makes quick work of juicing. Before, it was a major event to create enough juice for my family. Now it takes minutes. Clean up is super easy as well. And with the fitted juice catcher, no more mess to clean up like with the Jack Lalanne.One more comment on all those downers who gripe about high revolutions killing the enzymes. Yes it is true, but to a very small degree. And the time I save with the Breville is well worth the small faction of enzymes I may lose.I have been juicing for over a decade and this is the best machine I have used. I am once again excited about juicing, thank you Breville!

Not what I expected, but still great!!

Just like a lot of you I just had to try juicing because of Fat Sick and Nearly Dead documentary. I absolutely fell in love with this movie, as well as the narrator. He was so inspiring, I just had to try. When I was about 10 or 12 I fell onto this kick of being a vegetarian, and well lets just say it stuck for about 12 years. My parents purchased me a juice man juicer for Christmas because of an infomercial I always watched, well it was not as easy as it was on TV. Therefor I only juiced about 5 mts and put it back in the box, never to be taken out again. It was just a pain. I happen to run across this guy on Craigslist for 50.00 bucks and thought why not, I really need to get back to juicing, or at least try it again. I just finished my first round of juice and here is what I think about it.Pros- You get a lot of juice out of the produce that you use- Easy to use- EFFORTLESSLY CLEAN UP ( I love it )- Not much cutting involved, well none at all really. Just remember to extract the large seeds from the fruit and you should be fine.- Easy to take apart, and put back together- Use a produce bag to put in the back bin for even easier clean up.- Not as loud as everyone makes it out to be- Does not move while motor is spinning- Safety features so you won't accidentally chop off your fingers. Always a plusCons- When you place the produce in the machine, sometimes it comes back up because of how fast the motor is spinning ( maybe someone could tell me how to not let this happen )-Again when I put produce down into the machine it sometimes splatters out the side and from the top. I again don't know if it is me, or just how the thing worksNeutral- The pulp was not as dry as other reviewers say, but not as wet as my old juicer. It was not a big deal really. Next time I will just throw the pulp in the juicer again to see what happens. This time I did not do that.Overall I love the way the juice tasted, and the fact that I don't have to cut anything up really. I think next time I will just buy a whole bunch of stuff and juice a HUGE pitcher so I don't have to mess with this every day, and see if that works better for me. For 50 bucks, I say money well spent. I don't know if I would keep it if I had to pay 150.00 dollars for it. I will continue to juice, at least for awhile and see if I get better at it. Most people who buy it love it so much. I want to love mine as much as all of you.******* UPDATE 7/15/12**********So, I have been really trying to get used to this whole juicing phenomenon, turns out it is AMAZING. I had a little rough start with my juicer, just like all of you had I am sure. It is a bit of a learning curve but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY JUICER. As stated above I would never paid 150.00 for it. I lied. I would DIFFIDENTLY pay that money for this wonderful machine. I have worked with the cons, and neutrals of the juicer and it has worked beautifully.Cons - Stuff comes back up the tube. Fix: So, yes the motor is extremely fast and things come up, it is just how it works. So I take a handful of fruits and veggies and put them down the tube and quickly cover the top with my palm, just till the product goes down a little. Then I use the pusher to make sure they are all properly juiced. Problem solved.Splattering juice - Again, because of the fast motor juice gets sprayed. Fix: Fruits with high juice content such as pineapple and watermelon I tend to cut the chunks up smaller and put them in one by one. Yes this take a little longer but cuts down on the amount of juice that overflows. I just would rather go a little slower than clean half my counter top.Neutral - Pulp not as dry. Fix: I think that was pure user error. I went back and touched the pulp and yes it is a little wet but then I tasted it and it had ZERO flavor. That means that every ounce of juice that could come from it in fact did come from it. No need to put it through the juicer again, it is a big HASSLE trust me and super messy. Just use it in compost or put it down the garbage disposal like I do. I always add a quarter of a lemon to the leftover before I put it in the disposal now my kitchen always smells like fresh fruits.I don't know how I have ever lived without this item. I know that I will always have a juicer for the rest of my life. Such a worth-wild investment !

from reading the official description, one would think this is an easy install. however, it doesn't mention that some cars do require drilling. the installation took all day & a lot more money than the above-mentioned one hour of bolting. make sure your car already has the holes for the bolts - some do, some don't. mine had to be soldered instead because there wasn't good access to drill the holes.so the item was fine but the description wasn't all that accurate.

A Bell Ringing Good Time

I recently ordered Kidsplay 13-note chromatic handbells as a way of getting the children in my Sunday School (K-3rd grade) class more interested in participating in the music ministry.We used the sheet music that came free with the bells and within 10 minutes the children were playing songs.The bells are perfect pitch and the children are excited about playing them. Good Quality at a Good Price

I am a music teacher, and I purchased this 13-note chromatic octave hand bell set for the upper elementary school students to play in our church's annual Christmas Cantata. Having only a month to prepare, I did not want to teach this particular group to read music. Rather, I wanted to be able to quickly put together something that sounds polished. Each bell in this set is color-coded and labeled clearly at the end of the handle with both its note name and its number (scale degree), meaning that you can use colors, letters, or numbers to chart/teach songs.QUALITYWhen I opened the box, I was pleasantly surprised by the tone quality and intonation. The sound is clear and even throughout the octave. Additionally, the design of the beaters goes a long way to prevent the dreaded "double-ring." The construction is sturdy, although I would have used a rougher material (or attached some sort of grip) for the handles. The handles are quite smooth, and I'm just waiting for a bell to fly out of someone's hand during a "forte" section.COLORSUnlike the photo shown above, the chromatic add-on set (sharps and flats) comes with black handles. This makes them much easier to distinguish from the 8-note diatonic set. The 8-note set (in the key of C) makes use of the same standard colors you will find on Boomwhackers and other elementary keyboard instruments, meaning you can easily use the same charts or sheet music for all of them. My only complaint here is that the G (teal) and the A#/Bb (slightly bluer teal??) are virtually indistinguishable, and the G#/Ab (slightly lighter teal??) is awfully darn close as well. Logically, it seems that the A#/Bb should be a variant of the purple used for the B. I've had to make very creative use of my Sharpie collection for all my songs in F Major.EXTRASThe diatonic set also comes with a tiny sample of sheet music for 6 simple songs in C (Festive Bells, Old MacDonald, Peace Like a River, Beethoven's Ninth/Joyful Joyful, Sarasponda, and Ring Joy). The bells come in a cardboard box that will suffice for storage, but I highly recommend purchasing a soft case for protection and desk-top playing. NOTE: THE SOFT CASE IS SOLD SEPARATELY.Overall, this is a good set for kids at a very reasonable price.

Good Machine

When I first got this I Figured all you had to do was put a master lightscribe disc in the duplicator face down and it would copy the image to the other discs but that wasnt the case, I had the thing for 3 days gettin hightly frustrated before I finally found out what you really supposed to do which was save the lightscribe cd image file on a disc as data and put it in the duplicator and it will work and copy the images to the other discs. I've been straight with the machine ever since. Works fine and ive been makin copies of my cds since.

I absolutely would reccomend this product for anyone who work outdoors in cold temperatures. I've always wanted boots that would keep my feet warm during the winter months while i work outdoors. These boots keep my feet warm and dry, they are light weight and flexible; in fact my feet sweat in them. I can't wait to go ice-fishing with these boots. These are a must have for any serious outdoor lover for the winter months.

A Wonderful Pattern but Definitely Not for Beginners

I really, really like this pattern, but it is definitely not for beginners - maybe not even for intermediates. It appears the pattern was originally designed for hand applique since it calls for hand applique needles. I had intended to do the quilt by hand applique anyway, although I know that it has been done by others using the fusing method. With either method, it definitely is not for beginners as each block contains numerous pieces, some rather small, and the instructions do not include the basics for either method. That is perfectly O.K. since it was clearly not intended for beginners. It does give some directions for using a method to place the pattern on the background by first assembling it with glue and then placing the entire design on the background with glue in small areas. I have done hand applique for many years and many people do say I am very good at it. To me it seems that this method would be very awkward when hand appliqueing because of all the small pieces and how they fit together (sometimes under another piece in one area, but over another piece in another area), so I intend to use a more conventional method - tracing the pattern onto the background and then applying the design piece by piece. (The block patterns do give the placing sequence.)I have seen this quilt done up at a local quilt store done by hand applique, and it was very impressive. So, even though there is going to be a lot of work involved, it will definitely all be worth it, and I am really pleased with all the block patterns and border pattern.

Exactly what I needed

I needed a hitch on my BMW E46 sedan to hold a heavy-duty bike rack. Drilled the 8 holes into the spare tire compartment and it holds everything and doesn't budge. I don't think I would tow anything with it since it is not attached to the frame though.
