No electricity needed to decorate with this set of lights, just a sunny day to charge the solar panel and the 200 warm white LEDs will glow all night. The multi function switch allows you to choose between eight different modes, including steady, flashing, chasing and more. Measuring 71 feet from first LED to last, the set is perfect for decorating porches, trees or bushes. A 6-foot lead wire is connected to a solar panel that swivels at the top to angle towards the sun. 1.3 watt solar panel and three AA rechargeable Ni-Mh batteries are included. A built in automatic photocell control turns lights on at dusk and off at dawn. Light string and solar panel meet IP 44 waterproof standards. Solar panel measures 6-inch by 4-1/2-inch by 1-1/4 inches.

very pleased, only a few minor complaints

well, wanted to wait a few months to make sure my initial satisfaction did not diminish over time (because from what i can tell from reviews of other solar string light sets i viewed before purchasing these, it is over time that these types of sets either prove themselves or not. well, a whole summer of use now behind us, i remain very happy with this light set, and plan to purchase a few more sets in the near future.#1 reason i bought these instead of others, was that they are warm white... i have purchased other white LED light sets in the past (not solar), and the regular white LED color has all the charm of DMV florescent lighting... horrible! so until i came across these, thought our only choice was going to be to go with a color like amber or something. the color of this set is very pleasing, and is indeed warm.the charging is fast, and last a pretty long time. figuring they are like all rechargeable batteries, i make sure to leave the lights on all night to run down the charge (and it does take just about all night to do so, so that tells you how well that aspect of this set works). the first day i got them, they arrived in the afternoon, so it only received about three or four hours of charging before nightfall, and yet we were still able to enjoy hours of light from them in the gazebo where we strung them up.just two complaints prevent me from rating these a five star:1. the description says this set uses AA NiMh batteries, but it does not (or if it does, the case is not easily opened to get at them... so if you are hoping to be able to always have light by having other rechargeable AA batteries on hand (as i was), that is not actually the case. luckily it has not been a problem, we have never run out of light, even when we have used them in successive evenings during cloudy stretches - they have lasted to second and even third evenings pretty well.2.switching modes is a difficult dimple style button that advances through the six modes in succession via each push of the button. this would not be such a big deal if the default mode when you turn the set on was not a running flashing one, and the just plain on mode is the last of the sixth, so every time you turn the set on, you have to locate (tough when it is dark) and press that inadequate button six times to get to just plain always on lights.but overall, these look great, charge quickly, and seem to last well, and i definitely recommend them.

I've seen the lights and they were beyond expectations

I bought these lights to provide some solar lighting in the backyard and have been extremely satisfied with them so far after almost three months. First of all, the solar unit is solid and very well made and the instructions in setting it up were clear and simple. Prior to installation, I had charged up the unit in the sun for about three and the lights stayed on only for a few hours, but the next day with a full day's charge they lasted from dusk until dawn. They also came on once during a very dark thunderstorm and then turned back off again after it passed. We also had a power failure one night and they stayed lit so one of my neighbors asked how we were able to have the lights when the power was out all over the neighborhood. I liked these lights so much that I just bought another set for the front of the house for the Christmas season and will put them in the back yard for the rest of the year a little farther back than the other set. This is my first review on Amazon but I wanted to share about this great product and service, and how they offer a great way to have a little nightscaping. There probably are cheaper lights out there, but I feel that these are worth what I paid for them and more.

This is an excellent product. To my surprise its even managing to light up faithfully each night despite a series of rainy overcast days. Really beautiful gentle light. Nice blinking options if you want them.I am looking forward to buying more and lighting my whole patio area with them.You will not be disappointed.
