Quality non-gigging stand for large keyboards/mixers
By geoffro
As Z-stands go, the Z-716 has a lot going for it... It is sturdy (~250 lb capacity), lightweight (~17 lbs), gives plenty of clearance for your legs and pedals, and can also be upgraded with many useful attachments.Dimensions:33" width...good for most 61-88 note keyboards.26-33" height...would have been better about 3 inches lower at its lowest setting.20" tier depth...unnecessarily long to me. It's fine for a large workstation or double-manual organ, but too much for shallow keyboards (e.g. most midi controllers). For an 88-note, the Z-716L variant is better with its 10" wider crossbar. This stand is also unfit for gigging as the legs do not fold and the thumbscrews for the crossbar are difficult to align. Some better options would be the On Stage KS7350 Pro Heavy Duty Folding Z Keyboard Stand, Roland KS-18Z, or Quik Lok's own Z-71 which should soon be available in lightweight aluminum.None of those have as good attachment options though, which is the best thing about this stand. There are mountable shelves, 4U or 6U racks, speaker stands, a sliding keyboard/mouse tray, rolling casters and many others. This stand is therefore very much for home/studio use and you will have to spend some extra money to get the most out of it.My ideal stand would be a lighter, aluminum version of this Z-716 with the corrections above as well as folding legs. A shelf attachment for on-stage use would be very handy for placing a sound module or setting a beer :)Regardless, if the dimensions work for you and/or you need the attachments, I would definitely recommend this stand. The price here is very good as well at the moment.

Excellent keyboard stand
By J. Schneider
This is an excellent keyboard stand. It is a little more expensive than others out there, but it is far more stable than other stands I've been looking at. The top of the stand is extremely deep from front to back, so any size keyboard or stage piano should easily fit on it. It can support a large amount of weight, so even some of the heavier stage pianos shouldn't pose any problem. All in all, this stand is everything I was looking for. I had to wait for Amazon to get it in stock and ship it to me, but the week or two of waiting was well worth it.
