Great Little portable cuff

Bought this little wrist bp cuff for my husbands grandmother. She had been on BP meds for a while and did not own a bp cuff. So, we researched and found that this one would be easy enough for her to use without us being present. We had it shipped to her, but she waited for us to show up to use it. We read the fairly simple instuctions and placed the cuff on her wrist. Turn the power on and voila! Fairly accurate each time taken. I would recommend this product for someone who doesn't have one and needs to keep track of their BP. It has a memory on the cuff so your doctor can see your results over time.

Fabulous. My plantar fasciitis stays away and I can walk FASTER without knee pain!

I have bad feet and bad knees and a wonky ankle. And I'm obese (was 300 lbs, lost alot, am a bit over 200 now). In need a lot in an exercise shoe for walking. These deliver.I used to be a total Brooks sneaker aficionado, but since discovering ASICS, my Brooks are barely used. I just find I can walk easier, move faster, and have NO PAIN after a brisk 30 to 45 minute walk. And it makes errands go faster just being able to not worry about feet/joints.I had the 2150, which is a lot like these. But I do note that I slightly prefer the 2160. I use a size 9.5 to 10W in shoes (mostly 10W, but as I lose weight, my feet are shifting and I'm between sizes sometimes). I have to buy size 11D in ASICS. It seems like they'd be too big, but I find that going up a size works. I tried the 10.5D, and that works okay, but not as well as the 11D. I just adjust the laces to my shrinking food and eventually will need fatter socks (I love the ASICS hera locuts).I have these now in two colors (yes, love them that much that I paid $100 for each pair, twice). My ASICS collection is now 4 pairs since I discovered them in January. I walk nearly every day, so I need to rotate and be comfortable.Thumbs up. Great running shoe (though I just walk with them).But if you want a deal, try to find the earlier model of this one and might find it for a lot less. They are very similar. Almost identical.Happy exercising!UPDATE: I've lost more weight, and now the 10.5 fits better, and is even getting a bit loose. I'm wearing a 9.5 and to 10 M in shoes now, and don't need wide. So, if you're a regular width and a 9.5, try a 10 or 10.5 (depending on how much toe room you prefer.)Maybe even need a full size up, depends on your foot, right? I can still wear the 11W with thick sock and really tighten the laces, but clearly, I'll buy a smaller size for future ASICS. Great shoes, though.UPDATE: I'm no longer obese, and I can wear 10M Asics. I got two more pairs. :D

Love This Sneaker

I ordered this shoe based on a write up in Runner's World. It is everything they said and more. I was a little apprehensive to order a running sneaker on line but trust Runner's World and also know that Amazon stands behind their products and sellers. The service with the seller was wonderful. The shoes arrived the next day and the seller actually called me to let me know that is I was disastified in any way they would stand behind their product and just wanted me to be happy. Would definately purchse from this seller again!

I'm glad I finally found this shoe!

I have recently taken up running and bought these for that purpose alone. I have a very wide foot (8.5 EE), which makes buying shoes an embarassing and annoying experience. I bought 3 pairs of shoes, both in stores and online, and had to return them all. Based on some research, I decided to try these. I am so glad I did! Very comfortable right out of the box, and a nice looking shoe, too. I will be buying these from Amazon again considering very few retailers carry the width I need without the shoe looking like it should be worn by my great grandmother and not by someone in their 30's. Thanks!

adequate for my needs but could use improvement

I bought this machine looking for a way that my husband and I could monitor blood pressure independently since we are both blind. There are things I like and things I certainly dislike about it. I am able to use it so am giving it four stars. I took off one star because I fail to understand why a company that makes a product aimed at giving information to people who are blind would use a touch screen for its controls. I am accustomed to living in a society where things are not yet fully accessible. I hope that my review will enable you to evaluate your own potential ability to work with this machine in light of your abilities and needs.The unit comes in a carrying case with four AA batteries included. The battery compartment on the back opens in the standard manner--no need for a screw driver to get the batteries in. An AC adapter is also included. There is a port for the AC adaptor and a port for connecting the blood pressure cuff. The ports are tactually different. The only other tactual control on the unit is the power switch. A print manual in English and Spanish is included.If you hold this unit with the power switch toward the right and the battery compartment on the vottom, there are two controls on a touch screen-type interface at the right side of the top of the unit. You will not be able to feel them. This is important to know if you are totally blind and you are considering purchasing this unit. If you are used to estimating the location of controls on a touch screen, you can still operate the unit. If you want a unit with tactile buttons, do not buy this.If you have the blood pressure cuff connected when you turn the unit on, the unit will attempt to take your blood pressure (and will tell you to be still and quiet while doing so). If no one's arm is in the cuff, the unit will detect an error and will tell you there was an error. If it takes your blood pressure successfully, it will give you your readings when the cuff deflates, including your heart rate.The unit will give you an average of your last three readings, but I have not determined yet whether it is possible to access the memory. The top control does not give much audio feedback, and I suspect that the individual memory readings that you scroll through are not audible.I have not figured out whether it is possible to control how much information the unit provides. I do not want to hear "According to the World Health Organization standards, your blood pressure is optimal," etc, after every reading.I do like the size and the fact that I don't have to order a large cuff separately. I also like the carrying case--it is nice to be able to keep track of the components at home or while traveling.

Nifty, easy to use, accurate and comfortable way to monitor blood pressure.

I like this wrist monitor. Here's the ups and some considerations I found with it to help you make your own purchase choice:- It's easy to use, fast and accurate.The wrist band is designed so it goes on quickly (and fits even my super-small sized wrist). With just a push of the button and a few seconds you have a reading. The readings are consistent with the reading on the machines at the drugstore.The display is easy to read and includes a neat feature that shows where your "score" falls in the WHO range (a marker indicates whether the reading is in the green (great), yellow (normal), orange (caution) or red (you're having a blood pressure blowout) range. When it hits the green, it displays a nice little healthy heart.- Tracking system is also easy to use and can be used by two different people.There's two memory banks and each person can use one to automatically save up to their last 60 readings. (Great if you have a competitive health streak with someone in your family). Probably, more helpful - but less rewarding - it also provides an average of your last reads that many others do not.If you are comparing this to other Mabis or brands wrist monitors this one also includes a lifetime warranty most others do not. This is especially good if you are giving it as a gift.CAVEAT: As much as I like this one, I still urge you to comparison shop it. The cost currently listed (around 70 bucks), is more than double of another one I've used and given as a gift, the Mabis 04-795-001 Talking Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor. That one, has all the features of this one (except a shorter 5 yr. warranty), and also speaks the reading out loud (which, though this one has big numbers and is easy to read, makes it better for those that have eyesight problems).BOTTOM LINE: Highly recommended for accuracy, durability, ease of use and nifty features either as a purchase for yourself or gift for someone that needs to monitor blood pressure, but would suggest watching for when this has been marked down some.

Got these shoes based on great reviews on other sites. I am a runner, running between 10-20 miles a week. These shoes are SO comfortable. I wear 8 1/2 and they fit perfectly. I have had to use insoles with all of my recent shoes to prevent achilles pain, and these shoes are supportive enough to forgo the inserts. Plus, they are look great, which makes me excited to strap them on for a run. Highly recommend them!

Best shoes EVER!

Since I was little I've been using Nike shoes but now I decided to start running and after doing some research I found that Asics was the best shoes for running and it turned out to be 100% true. These shoes are so comfortable while I'm running, my legs don't hurt at all and they are very light weighted. Also I got the apple green shoes and I LOVE the colour :) these pair won't be my last for sure !

Great shoe, true to size, ligtweight and comftable. I definantley reccommend purchasing these shoes. I have used in workouts, treadmill use and a quick 8km stroll down to the shops. I have also had a lot of comments on how cool and funky they look.

wide work shoe

i have been waering the responder 2 to work for about a month now , seems to be a well built product, i work in maintenance at a nursing home so i am on my feet most of the day, it is a comfortable wearing product, and is slip resistent as claimed, I would recomend this shoe for someone looking for extra wide.

This is a very good cross training shoe.

This is a cross trainer with a court type bottom. It is very good for agility and lateral movements. If you wear orthotics, the orthotic raises your foot up to high for comfort. I wear orthodics and that is only drawback to this shoe.If you buy regular comfort type inserts they will work in this shoe. For the price you can't beat them. Shoe runs true to Asics sizing and is much better than most cross trainers for feel and comfort.

Solid Construction

I work as a 1st AC, and got this laser rangefinder to measure distances for pulling focus, so this review is kind of focused on that kind of functionality. I don't need to measure volume or use any of those more advanced functions that this device offers. It's small! Actually just about the perfect size for a handheld device. Any smaller and it'd be hard to hold. This piece of equipment feels sturdy in your hand. It's just the right weight to feel like a piece of equipment, not a toy. The rubber grip really sticks to your hand, but the grip also sticks in the holster, making it difficult to remove. I also wish this device had was a tripod mount.The screen displays the past 4 measurements, which is handy for when I need to take several measurements and don't have time to write them down right away. This is a huge advantage over cheaper models. You may not need this functionality, but I have found it to be handy.The backlit screen is essential. Sets are often dark near the camera, and the illuminated screen makes this device usable in dim lighting.When you turn on the unit, the laser is automatically on. I'd rather turn on the unit, then push the button again to turn the laser on, but that's just something I have to get used to I guess. While I'm ranting about functionality... You can change the illumination and beep preferences, and it will store those same preferences when you turn the power off & back on. Another "preference" you can change is from what point this device measures, either from the front of the device, or the back of the device. The default is the back of the device. But unlike beep & illumination, as soon as you turn the device off, it reverts back to measuring from the back.Despite those few quirks, this device is solid, well constructed, and well worth the money. Definitely worth every penny.

Built for ease of use and reliability

Press button once to turn it on. Aim it. Press button again to measure (and the laser turns off). Press once again to aim.Automatically remembers the last 10 measurements (even if turned off), and shows 4 measurements at a time.Press button and *hold it* for a second to enable *continuous* measurement (say 5 times a second). Automatically remembers the max and min of a continuous measurement.Very easy to add and subtract measurements! Nice user interface.Cool bracket on the back end of it which allows you to do two things: 1. Easily measure from the edge of something, like a table. 2. Easily measure from the *corner* of a room by pressing the bracket into the corner. The device automatically knows when and how the bracket is being used, so you can't make a mistake when you use it.It's easy to add and subtract room areas, and even room volumes. Quite a clever yet usable device.The only drawback I see is that it doesn't have a screw hole for use with a tripod.Nice straight aim (laser is aligned with the axis of the device, which should go without saying, but this isn't true for all brands).A sturdy yet very precise device, built to last.

I purchased this before Amazon offered it, and have found that it is exactly what I expected. Easy to use and accurate. One note missing from the product description (and the reason I purchased this model) is the rubber 'bumper' that wraps around the meter. The reason for it's importance? Leica added it to provide protection from a drop of 2 meters - something that can absolutely occur on a job site.

Great support

I don't run roads because of issues with shin splints but these trail shoes which are awesome on the trail have proven to be good enough for me to run about 4 miles on asphalt without pain. That's much further than I've run in shoes from Adidas and Mizuno.I have a normal to wide foot and the shoe is very accommodating of that. These are really comfortable, supportive and an all-around quality shoe.I run 15-20 miles a week on trails in these shoes.

rock solid trail shoe

I bought these to run Tough Mudder. I was looking for shoes with good protection and traction and these deliver on both counts. I spent 4 1/2 hrs. going up and down muddy slick rocky hills and never slipped. The tread pattern on these shoes gives you stunning grip and stability. They also have a protection plate under the forefoot to protect from punctures or rocks which is nice. The only down side I see is they are not the lightest or most flexible shoes, but I guess its a trade off for protection. If you run in rough terrain or wet muddy conditions you wont find a better shoe.

Narrow for Asics

I've been a long time fan of Asic for road shoes. The Gel Attack is light with an aggressive tread, traits that I like in a trail shoe. However this latest model, the 7, seems narrower than usual up front compared to most Asics models. I usually get the standard medium width in Asics, but these I wish I had gone wider. I don't have too many miles on them yet, so I can't speak to the durability. I had issues with the Attack model 6's I had previously. I wore holes in both of them above both big toes, something that normally isn't an issue with me. Asics should beef up the fabric in that area.

I'm a big dude 6'4" and 3 bills, and these shoes are plenty supportive to my weathered feet and ankles. Three thumbs up.
