Protects skis but hard to carry

I got this as a replacement for a previous wheel-less ski bag that got holes in it due to being dragged (by baggage personnel, not me.) The wheels on this bag make it easier to get through airports, though not as easy as I had planned. In crowds, you usually cannot be pulling a 6-foot-long bag behind you; you often need to break down and lug the thing. And that's where this bag fails. It has handles that are too long to be good for carrying in you hands, but too short to put over your shoulder. And ski bags are actually best carried on a shoulder. So I can't fathom what High Sierra was thinking when they designed these handles; they're not good at anything.

Worked Great

The bag made it across the country without any problems. It wasn't quite big enough to fit my ski boots in, but I was able to pack all my clothes, including ski-wear, along with a pair of skis for a 4 day trip.

solid construction, easy installation

This product is very well made and the installation instructions are very straightforward. The most difficult part of installation on an Acura TL is getting the exhaust out of the way. The receiver itself is very solidly constructed and nicely finished. I find that aesthetically I prefer the round tubes to the square "industrial look" usually found on pickup trucks. Overall a top-notch product, and made here in the USA!

Not as advertised...beware!

There is no padding to protect bindings.In fact, there is only the flimsiest of materials throughout..There are no inner straps to secure skis and prevent from moving around against each other.This bags only protective merit is that it is a filimsy bag into which you put skis for carrying.There is no neoprene handle to protect shoulder when carrying two pair of skis.Maybe other colors offer more protection...I ordered black as it was least expensive.I don't have description in front of me to compare each and every claim, but BEWARE!

Sierra Deluxe Double not deluxe at all

I don't usually complete reviews, but thought I should on this one.This is a plane Jane nylon bag, it has no padding, no interior straps. It is a long duffle bag that you can store ski's in. When I say there is no padding, I mean no padding, not thin padding, no padding. The entire bag, top to bottom, is a thin nylon shell with a zipper on top and outside straps.It works to put skis in to carry, it will keep dust out, it will not protect the skis from physical damage in the least. If you put 2 pair of skis in the bag, they will rub against each other and scratch/chip.If they advertised this bag as what it is, I probably would have ordered it anyway, but I would have been much less disapointed when I received it. It arrives in a1 foot x 1foot X 3 inch box, which it easily fits into.

Not at all as in the picture

Bought this double bag for 34 bucks, but totally not worth it.Just a flimsy bag that has nothing to do with the one in the description.It's also so long (more than 180cm) that your pair of ski will slide around.There is no divider between the two pair of skis.The straps are too long to actually hold the skis tight in place.Needless to say, don't recommend it.

I have been looking for a new ski-boot bag. I went on High Sierra's web site to check out ski-boot bags and to find out which stores carry this item. I went to Sports Authority to look at this boot bag & check the price. I fell over in Sports Authority when they told me the price. This High Sierra Trapezoid Boot Bag was $99.99 at Sport Authority and the sales person said they do gone on sale sometimes for $79.99. I said Thanks I'll wait for it to gone on sale. I went home checked the price on Amazon.com $38.49 free shipping & no tax. Thank You Amazon.com for the GREAT PRICE, & GREAT SERVICE.I have used the boot bag 6 times this year 2010,and it holds a lot of stuff. The side pockets for the boots are great,I can fit 4 pairs of gloves,ski pants,helmet, goggles,3 pairs of ski socks. I love these bags!!!!! Helments, boots, gloves, lunches, everything fits in these bags. Once we put your ski boots on we then put our snow boots right in the bag. No more having to lunge numerous bags with our ski stuff. Just throw the backpack on and grab your skis and your set to go. My nine yr old puts it on without problems and its not to heavy either!!!!!

I have run in the Salomon S-Lab 3 XT for several years now. It is the best all round speed shoe for trails. Light weight, durable and extremely trail sensitive. I have also used it in exterra situations with river crossings. It drains fast and keeps the shoe very breathable. All round best shoe out there!

Racecars on your feet

To me, buying a shoe is a HUGE deal. I often wear one pair of shoes for a whole year and a half which means I preform hours of extensive research in what I'm actually going to buy.My problem? Shoes that are marketed towards women, especially in malls, SUCK. Everything is PINK and PURPLE and degrading. I need a shoe that says I can run faster, harder, and stronger than you.And this shoe wasn't whispering, it was screaming.1) This is a flashy shoe that just looks motivating.2) Seems to be built well.3) Fits my foot great for a unisex shoe4) NO shoelaces. I hate shoelaces.5) Seriously, people notice these shoes. They're hardcore. You'll look hardcore in them.So if you're a woman looking for a shoe that shows you aren't a pretty princess, run in these baby.

The seeker is a very well made pack constructed of sturdy materials and particularly heavy zippers. I especially like its ability to easily handle a 2.5 to 3 liter hydration bladder complete with an insulated shoulder strap configuration to protect the drinking tube from freezing. The pack is a little heavy, but justifiably so given its internal frame, heavier materials, sturdy waist belt, boot and helmet carriers. I would say that with all of its features, it is probably overkill for in-bounds or easy side country skiing. But for those longer backcountry day outings in changing, unpredictable weather, I really like it. The interior is organized and set-up well for carrying shovel, probe, extra gear.

Not just a bolt on job

I bought this hitch for my 2006 Honda CR-V. It fits but one part of the hitch mount makes contact with the muffler hanger and therefore I had to take a grinder to it (the hitch, not the muffler hanger.) If I didn't make this modification, the hitch and muffler touch and make a horrible rattling noise. The hitch's design isn't perfect but after that slight modification it works as advertised. Otherwise, I was able to install this hitch in about 20 minutes.

Hitch is great but installation required modifications

This was a fairly straightforward installation but the fishwire bolt heads would NOT fit into the holes in the frame of my 2010 Honda Element EX. The obvious solution would be to enlarge the holes but I do not have a large enough metal drill bit (about 1") that I could use in anything other than a drill press so drilling is not really much of an option. Instead I ground the bolt heads to a slightly smaller diameter until they fit into the holes in the frame. I have a grinder and a comfy place to work so it was not too bad but it did take considerably more than 30 minutes to complete the install.Also, I replaced the provided nuts with nylon lock nuts to eliminate concerns about loosening. Seems they could have provided these, or at least lock washers...I am not sure why the holes in my vehicle were too small and the holes others are not but it was a bit of a hassle. Just be prepared to do some extra work.As noted, the hitch itself, once installed, is well-made and seems more than adequate.

I put it on my 05 Element and I towed a Uhaul triler 8x5 across the US and this was mighty fine! Very happy with my purchase
