5Great conditioner for long hair
By Becky Rose
As a family, we're trying to be conscious of chemicals and are gravitating towards organic and natural products such as this Nature's Baby Organics - which is fabulous! THe scent is wonderful. Subtle vanilla and tangerine - smells like a creamsicle. The conditioner spreads easily and rinses out easily in soft water. You can also use it on dry hair if you have bed head to smooth your hair out. Makes long hair easy to brush though (thank goodness!).It's on the pricey side for me - but it's a luxery that I feel is pretty necessary for our family.

4(UPDATE)~*~*~BEST DETANGLER FOR MY DAUGHTERS CURLY HAIR~LOVE IT~*~*~
By Mommy of Cuties M & Z
UPDATE: I am giving an update now that my daughter is almost 27 months and her hair has gotten much longer & thicker. I have to use a lot more conditioner on her tangles now(still just a big massive tangle she gets in the back of her head) but in order for it to work really well I have to put at least 3-4 squirts and really get it through the knot. It works best if her hair is really wet before I put the conditioner on the knot and rub it through to make sure the knots are saturated and it helps to run my fingers through her hair a little. As long as I have put a bunch of conditioner on, then I can comb out the tangles with relative ease(still not as easy as when her hair was shorter/thinner). But if I only put a squirt or 2 on her hair, it still is a struggle for me to comb the tangles out. Also, on the bottle it says to make sure NO water gets inside the bottle. I didn't think that just by sitting inside the shower it would get water in the bottle but it DID. I kept thinking that the conditioner wasn't working as well as it had been and during a bath when I was getting ready to put some in my daughters hair I smelled something moldy. Then I smelled the conditioner and it smelled terribly moldy. I opened the lid and was disgusted to find that it was all brown and moldy on the inside and I had been putting it on my girls hair w/out knowing it because the conditioner that was squirting out was still white! I threw that bottle out($$ down the drain) and now I keep the new bottle outside of the shower/tub to make sure NO water has a chance to get inside of the bottle. It DOES say not to get water in the bottle so I can't be mad about that, just make sure to store it outside the tub. I still like this conditioner but for the price and being called a detangler, you have to use too much for it to actually work well as a detangler for really curly/long/thick hair and it is just too expensive. After this bottle runs out I am going to try the Johnson's No More Tangles Leave-in Conditioner, 5-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 6) and I will give an update as to which product I think works better. If the Johnsons doesn't work better than I will buy this product again. My 23 month old daughter(caucasian) has naturally curly hair, beautiful ringlet curls when fixed, lots of tangled knots when not. She is also VERY active and HATES when I have to comb the tangles out of her hair. The back of her hair gets one giant knot, both from sleeping and her car seat. It literally is just one big tangled mass, like a brillo pad of knots.I had been using Just For Me Detangler on her dry hair and also after her baths and that did help a little but it was still a HUGE tangled mess. It was so tangled that I was getting scared her hair was going to start breaking as I combed out the tangles. And she kept squirming around and screaming so much since it took me so long to gently try to comb out the tangles without hurting her head or hair. So I began my search and even though this was a bit expensive, I was willing to give it a try since it is for my daughter.OMG! I LOVE IT!!!! I actually was thinking "I just spend a lot of money and her hair is probably going to still have the huge knot in the back" this was today when I was giving my twins their bedtime bath. I washed her hair with Huggies Shampoo as usual and rinsed that out. I applied a small squirt on my hands, rubbed them together and then ran it all over her hair. She kept dipping her head in the water(she is a stinker) so I applied a tad more just on the back of her hair on the huge knot. I also applied just a small amount to her sisters hair, it is also curly but not as curly and her hair never gets tangled. It does easily spread all over the hair so you only have to use a little amount. I did NOT wash out the conditioner, I used it as a leave in on both girls.Right after the bath and getting dressed I decided to try combing Madisons wet hair like usual. I had already ran my fingers through her hair a little bit when I was applying the conditioner and it felt less tangled but I was really fearing it would still be filled with knots. Well, most of her hair the comb went through without a single knot and where the huge knot was, there was only a few tiny knots that I barely had to comb through. I was amazed and my daughter was a lot happier. It took me less than a minute to comb through her hair!! It also felt so soft and silky. I ran my fingers through her hair after I combed it to loosen up the curls and help it dry and it sprang into her perfect little ringlet curls. My other daughter never needs her hair combed and never has tangles but her hair actually seemed to have more curls than usual. Both girls hair was shiny, soft and smelled like a hint of creamsickle, yum!Next time I will probably rinse my no tangle daughters(Zoey) conditioner out because I think some of her hair on top looked a little weighed down but still not greasy. But I'll continue to leave in my tangle(Madison) daughters conditioner. With this Natures Baby Organics conditioner Madisons curls were less frizzy after they dried than with nothing at all but I will still have to use something to keep her curls in check(once her hair was dry, she was playing and it started getting a little frizzy). I use Just For Me Curl Smoother Creame for Madison and that keeps her ringlet curls perfect and frizz free. Pro-Line Just For Me Curl Smoother Creme 8ozSure this seems a little expensive but I no longer have to buy detangler spray and I only have to use a small amount so it will last a really long time. And most important, my daughters hair is virtually tangle free making her very happy and making me even happier. If your child has tangled hair, do not hesistate to purchase this.

5Love it!
By momma of 3
I bought this to use on my two young daughters hair, it's extrememly long and needs a good conditioner. I've found that most organic or "green" conditioners do not work as well as the other stuff....but this one works well if I leave it on their hair while I wash thier body, then I rinse it out. I am happy with it and the smell is wonderfull. (something you dont usually get with organics) It's important to me to know it's a safe and chemical free product for my childrens hair.
