Fantastic for jewelry making
By J. Rainey
I love these large, economical spools of bare copper wire for making jewelry. It is a good quality wire, which takes a patina well. Best of all, it's a great value. You get a lot of wire for not a lot of money! I just bought this 16 gauge wire which would have cost a fortune somewhere else. I will come back for more gauges of this wire as long as they stay this affordable.

Bare doesn't mean bare obviously.
By siempresuamor
I really needed a long roll of non-stranded bare copper wire for my experiments because I hate scraping the covering off of the enameled magnet wire I already have. This wire also has a thinner clear protective coating to keep it from oxidizing that I still have to scrap off to get a good connection, so it's not really saving me much trouble. It was a good deal though for the amount of wire, and it doesn't break easily, I even used it to tie shut a few windows with broken latches around the house without breakage. I can't really complain that bare doesn't actually mean bare anymore since I had enough common sense to assume this would be the case before I ordered. The mere humidity from storage would most likely tarnish exposed copper so it is highly unlikely I will find a good cheap roll of truly bare wire anywhere now days simply because it would go bad in storage before the retailer could sell it fast enough. It works though and was the best deal I could find, so I won't complain.

Good stuff, fair price
By wiredweird
Good stuff - 24 AWG is great for Viking Knitting, and this afforable supply means you can try a lot of variations without breaking the bank. Bare wire tarnishes quickly in use, but that's part of copper's appeal. This isn't magnet wire, so there's no insulating layer to smoke and burn when you anneal it.Fun!-- wiredweird
