In Ecco tradition, these do not dissapoint.

This is probably my 5th or 6th pair of Ecco's over the last 5 years. I've owned these for about 3 weeks now and it's been a great shoe so far. I also feel that it's one of their most sophisticated offerings out currently. For me, I always have difficultly picking a shoe that makes me happy in both the aesthetics and comfort department. This shoe allows me to happily achieve that goal. Sure, it may not look as good as a pair of my To Boot New York's, but it's a lot more comfortable, especially when you compare them out of the box.This pair of shoes is very comfortable, however it's not as light as some of their loafer offerings. It's not heavy by any means, but it's not a featherweight pair of shoes. It's made in "Slovenia" if I recall correctly. The leather upper is nice, not overly supple like calfskin, but not a tough as a pair of Allen Edmond's either. Break in is minimal and comfort is there out of the box. I have the Cocoa pair, and there is some nice variation in the brown. It has a slight heel, but it's not too high and remains comfortable for extended walking distances.It wears true to size, so if you have another pair of Ecco's, you will be the same size.

I LIKE THE ECCO....

.........but the Windsor style is too pointed for my taste and too narrow for my toes. I am in the process of returning the Windsor pair. I have ordered and now have recieved the ECCO Seattle pair which feel great with a soft leather lining. I have also recieved the ECCO Helsink pair but they have cloth lining so I am still considering them. Over the last dozen or so years I have had good luck with the ECCO shoes made in Slovakia (except for the Windsors being returned). Not so with those made in China. My Seattle pair will be my first experience with China ECCOs. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Thank you for your patience in helping me get the right fit. My left foot requires a larger size than my right.

Excellent Shoe but Expensive

Ecco shoes are great. I prefer them over Allen Edmonds for fit. They are the most comfortable shoes for me. Most of their shoes are priced well and can be found on sale from time-to-time. THe Windsor Lace-up is a great shoe but I believe the cost is about $30-$40 too high. Thus, I assessed 4 stars instead of 5 stars.
