Good shoes but small in the toe area

I ordered these shoes, tried them on and they felt great with the exception of the toe area, which felt a bit too tight, both on the sides and the top. I tried them on again after removing the insoles and the fit was perfect although they were lacking a little cushioning. I didn't find the insoles particularly good in the cushion department to begin with but they were adequate.I then tried them on with memory foam insoles that were slimmer than the original ones and provided some extra cushioning. I wore them to a tennis match and I loved the way they felt,they felt solid, the weight seemed just fine and the support was great. The only negative was that I ended up with a sore pinky toe (no blisters though) but I'm hoping that was just part of the break in period and/or that it will be solved with a different sock choice or maybe by strategically trimming the insole a bit.Usually, I wouldn't go through so much trouble to make a pair of shoes work but I got a very good deal on them, I would've had to pay to ship them back and it seems a bit of a challenge to find racquet sport shoes that are not too stiff but provide adequate support. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and I'll update my review if needed after wearing them a few more times.

In search of a comfortable tennis shoe...

My search continues. These were not it for me. From the moment I tried them on they were so uncomfortable and painful that I couldn't wear them. I walked around the house trying so hard to like them and they were so painful I couldn't do it. I took them off and returned them (first time I've ever returned anything to Amazon). They had very little padding - is everyone adding cushion insoles to these? I wear plush athletic socks and even with those I found these shoes incredibly hard and stiff with very little padding. I don't have unusual feet and I love the Asics running shoe but I was disappointed with these.

Love them!

What can I say--I bought these sneakers to play tennis and I love them. They are comfortable and light. I would reccomend themm to a friend.
