Great shoe
By staceygirl1
I bought my son another pair of ASICS 2 months earlier and was not happy with the way they held up. However these ASICS have been GREAT!!!!! My son uses them for school, track and they still look new. I would this shoe again.

Shoecity.com Full of excuses
By Adam M. Mrozowski
This review is about shoecity.com, not just about the shoes. I have worn Asics for more than 20 years. They have always held up, even when I was rough on them in my teenage years. My son is now 6 and I wanted him to wear the same brand I have always worn. He has had this pair for less then a month, 24 days to be exact. The heel counter and heel tab of the shoe have completely collapsed. My son has worn stride-rite, new balance, and skechers and the heel counter and heel tab has never failed on any of those shoes. But they did on these....in less than 24 days. I kindly asked shoecity.com to replace, but they refused. After sending pictures to shoecity.com, they denied that these were defective and were not worn properly by my son. The other shoes never had this problem, and he has put his shoes on the same way. We are in the process of getting him to tie his shoes, so it is inevitable that he will try to slide them on without untying them. I did it as a kid, and I know most of America has kids that do it every day. There are two problems here:1. Shoecity.com doesn't back their product with the service and commitment to customer satisfaction.2. Either this pair of Asics were defective or they need to address a stronger material for kids.Pretty disappointing!!Here is the copy of their letter to me:-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Dear Customer,Upon review of the images, we note that under normal wearing condition the heel does not collapse. In this case, we feel that the product was not laced up, but slipped on with the top of the heel being damaged as a result. This is not normal wear.We can not accomodate your request, as the product was in brand new condition and whole upon shipping and is currently not reflecting defect but non standard wear.Thank you, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused,www.SHOECITY.comCustomer Service Team - MM-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------They even misspelled a word in their professional response back to me...wow!! I could ramble on with more, but it is obviously a waste of time.Stay away from shoecity.com
