Hoped for better...

I had read several reviews about this product before pulling the trigger on it... Unfortunately, the reviews stating the lamp came damaged proved to be true again- the box was really beat up, and the lamp body has several deep scratches that take the dark bronze finish off and leave the super shiny bronze showing (I'm tempted to scratch my own pattern into the rest of the body if I can't stop noticing it!) The directions are ridiculously generic, and I got extra parts that don't even serve a function for my lamp (Where do you put a swivel on a lamp that doesn't swivel?) Also, while the base is nice and heavy, the actual body is held up by cramming a long pole through one hole in the base and securing it with a wingnut- stability, not so much... For the price I thought I was going to get a decent lamp I could use for a long time, instead I'd say drop $50 at Target and save the self loathing!!

Very pleased with lamp

It fit perfect in the space behind my couch, black metal post, linen color shade,expensive looking, had to order a remote switch because the switch is on the bottom and can not be reached since it is under the couch now

No issues

The lamp arrived within the expected timeframe. It is a 2-person job to be stress free when putting together. Love how the base slides under our couch! Great lamp as a space-saver.
