easy, looks great and sturdy

I searched online and at amazon for awhile, settled on these chairs given a budget in mind and my adversion to vinyl. they arrived on time, assembly seemed too easy. they look great. the up and down works great and they feel very sturdy (I'm 6/4 230). I'm very happy

The stools are exactly as described. At first I couldn't get the stool to adjust height, but after I sat in the stool it "activated" the piston & began to adjust as needed. They look perfect in my kitchen!!

Cheap veneer, poor quality control and slow customer service

I received two boxes of two pairs of stools on time.All of them had scratches on them around the edges. All 4 of them had veneer that was very thin. The veneer was peeling in the locations where they were scratched and each time you touched the scratched areas more veneer peeled off. One of them could not be assembled because the screw holes were not machined properly and it wasn't possible to insert screws.I asked for a refund and Cymax asked me for photos which I spent some hours taking and uploading after several failed attempts (due to their inability to receive files bigger than 2 Megabytes). They didn't give me a refund after all that but instead passed off the issue for "final approval" to the original manufacturer. Still no response after a week of waiting. It appears as though Cymax thinks their role is to just make the money but not take responsibility for selling poor quality products.I would not recommend this product unless you want to just buy it and not use it. Every time you use it the veneer might peel off and make it look worse. If you use it regularly it will maybe look good for 6 months in the best case and only a few weeks in the worst case.
