Good, but limited range depending on your remote

If you have an LED, LCD, or plasma TV and want an IR receiver for your repeater system, this is one of a handful of ridiculously priced options. It works great, and does not register any interference from our Samsung TV's.Alas, how well it works will depend on your remote. It doesn't register IR signals from a DISH remote from more than about 10 to 15 feet away (the light flashes, but no usable signal gets passed on) so it is no good in our master bedroom, where the receiver is farther away. We're able to use it in another room which is smaller, but we still need a better option. An OPPO Blu-ray player remote, on the other hand, works fine from 20-30 feet away and possibly farther.

Doesn't work with Samsung LN46C650

My title pretty much says it all. I recently purchased the Samsung LCD TV which I love, but it interferes with my existing Xantech IR repeater. I purchased this because they claim it works with LCD and plasma TVs, but in my case it works exactly like my old one.Pricey and disappointing.

THESE UNITS BY FAR ARE ALOT BETTER, IN MANY WAYS, SMALLER LESS CONSPICOUS, EASY TO MOUNT,MORE ACCURATE THAN THE OLD STYLE, HOWEVER I FEEL THAT THEY ARE WAY OVERPRICED, GIVING IT A 4 STARR BECAUSE OF THE PRICE!!
