Best Digital Ballast on the Market Today

You couldn't ask more from this ballast. It's a little more pricey than other ballasts, but it makes up for it in RF protection (stealthiness), it's digital, so it's silent, it is extremely efficient (I've noticed a electric drop over the magnetic counter-part), it's modular (You can add the wall mount, or leave it off) and it comes with adapters for non-hydrofarm hoods and fixtures. You really couldn't ask more from a ballast, and I plan to upgrade all of my 600w and 1000w lights to Phantoms as well. They are truly brilliant, and well-made.

Runs cool, the dimming function is awesome! The only bad... is it should come with a 240V chord though, or at least say "sold seperately" in the marketing materials.

Brighter than magnetic safer then any other ballast I love this thing has gentle start and if it trips it shuts down for 5 min the reboots even bulbs last longer
