Excellent, simple dual monitor stand
By Jim Schmidt
I have a pair of 23 inch Viewsonic 2323W monitors, each of which had a 10 inch diameter arched circular base that ate up too much desk real estate and were unusable for anything except holding the monitor up, and without height adjustment, the space under the monitors was likewise limited. All told, a tremendous waste of desktop space....This unit is sturdy, simple, heavy, well designed and works effectively as a simple replacement for the individual stands for these monitors. There is height adjustment for the pair of monitors that allows items to be located under them, and tilt and rotation (portrait to landscape or anywhere in between) adjustments.I was concerned that there is no horizontal adjustment, but the fixed width is perfect for this size monitor, allowing both monitor edges to be placed together in the center resulting in a slight "V" configuration that is ideal for my desktop. The heavy metal base is well designed and has flat upper surfaces, which allows yet more desktop real estate to be reclaimed. The stand comes with an optional thru-desktop mounting screw and large washer (and a simple wrench to assemble it), which I plan to utilize once I find the ideal position for the monitors (reducing the total footprint to about six square inches ;)The unit was well packed with bubble wrap and cardboard dividers. Assembly was very simple with a screwdriver and the provided allen wrench, as was mounting the monitors using the eight VESA standard screws. Total assembly time from unpacking to finish was under an hour (including cleaning off and replacing desktop items. The only thing that is lame is the "cable management". Each arm has a plastic clip to hold the cables from the respective monitor, but additional work is required to minimize cable clutter down the back and off the desk... A few black tie wraps will serve well for that purpose. It appears that cable management was an afterthought and didn't get a lot of attention...Given that dual monitor stands can run well over $200 and some appear as complex as the Space Shuttle launch tower, this is a good value for a simple, sturdy monitor stand.

Sturdy, Inexpensive, minor irritations
By P. Frost
I have two 28in monitors mounted on this stand in portrait mode, bolted through my desk. It was priced well and works great. It has enough 'stick' to keep the monitors where you put them. Big improvement over the Ergotron Neoflexes I had, which sagged under the weight so the monitors had to be propped up. A previous reviewer said there was no swivel (portrait to landscape) adjustment but mine has it, it's just stiff. I don't use it; my monitors are too big to fit landscape.IrritationsThe VESA mounting plates are so thin that the screws bottom in their sockets before the plate is tight to the monitor. You need to add washers, which are not included and good luck finding black. I don't know if it is just my monitors, but my previous stands had thicker plates and did not do this. There are stops on the arms which prevent them from extending rearward, costing me two inches of desk depth. There are similar stops preventing the monitors from rotating outward more than 90 degrees, which means I can't reverse the stand and use it backwards to get the two inches either. Useless restrictions, so I ground off two of the stops. The arm pivots on the post have beauty covers over the allen adjustment screws, except they are on the same side as the cable management clips so you can't put the cables underneath to sort of hide them without leaving the allen screws in plain sight. This is an assembly or design error. There is no rubber pad to put between the metal foot and the desk in a bolted installation. Since moving either monitor without carefully holding the other makes the post pivot, you get scratches. So it is a great stand, but you need to budget an extra $0.99, a trip to the hardware store for materials, and twenty unnecessary minutes for installation to fix things they could have corrected for free.

Great!
By Trent H. Robertson
This is my first review. If you want a solid well made dual monitor stand for half the price of most, consider this one. VERY solidly machined and assembled, with the option of bolting it to the a desktop via the included bolt mount. I am about to order another for work. T
