ITALIAN 1000TC long-staple Egyptian Cotton Sheet Set

I just purchased a new premium mattress with an unusual thickness of 15". I wanted a new sheet set just to make sure it would completely fit. The retailer stated in the add that this set came with "deep pockets". However it said that nowhere on the packaging? I was concerned and was able quickly be placed in contact with the retailer, who assured me that the sheet set would fit. The set is well constructed with three rows of stitching at each seam. Without my loop-glass, it does appear to be 1000 threads per inch. And it is most certainly woven in Italy of the finest Egyptian cotton. The denier (thickness) of the spun thread was thin to me, but luxurious just the same.. The fitted sheet did fit my 15" thick mattress, but just barely (an overlap of 1/4-1/2"). For the price I paid, it was well worth the value. But Next time I will purchase a set with even deeper pockets, that's also a little thicker.
