High quality fan

I bought this fan for my race car after I had problems with another brand.I service cooling systems at my work and I know that Spal is high quality when it comes to cooling fans.This fan moves a lot of air, is very smooth in operation and you can tell just by picking it up its 10 times better then the piece of junk it replaced.Typical Spal quality!

This is the best fan i ever owned, I am using this product with a ballast in a two speed configuration and it works great as a primary puller fan in my e30 325i....., the downside is that when I set the fan to its operating voltage it sounds like a have a turbine under my hood...rarely i set it to full power so in my low speed setting it is very quiet and efficient. Only time will tell me more but i'm sure it will work for some years because its a quality product.

I was having over heating issues with my '86 Corvette and although installing a new radiator made things a lot better, it would still get too hot in traffic. Well this fan solved that issue. The standard fan moves around 1700cfm, but this one moves 2400cfm, and it made all the difference. Over heating problem solved, I never get past 200 degrees now, in hot Southern California traffic.2 things to watch for, when it runs, because it is moving such a large volume of air, it is very noisy, to the point that in traffic people can hear it and will look to see where the sound is coming from, so if this is an issue consider using 2 smaller units side by side. Sadly on the early C4's this isn't an option.The second is unless you upgrade the fan relay this fan will burn them out. When it is running this fan takes 17 amps, but when it starts up it peaks at nearly 50 amps, so make sure all connections etc are good.Finally, if you want a turn key install of this fan for an early C4 check out DeWhitts radiators, they supply this unit with a custom mount and have the exact plug on the fan so it is truly plug and play.
