comfortgels impression mats

love it! i take yoga and kickboxing; before i would be folding my mat over a couple of times in an vain attempt to gain some support for my bad knees, which nearly never helped. but the comfortgels impression mat, suprisingly, actually did what it says it does and aliviated the stress being placed on those joints. now i dont worry about leaving a class feeling worse than when i first came in. well worth the money, especially since the cheep mats can wear out within a couple of months and eventually you'll have ended up spending as much money on a bunch of crappy mats that you could have instead thoughtfully invested in that single, fantasic and long lasting comfortgels impression.

I love this mat! I tried 3 others and shipped them all back (thank you Amazon for a great return policy) because they were terrible on carpeting. The ComfortGel does not form hills when working out (aerobics) nor does it slide on the carpet much at all. With the others, I had to straighten them every couple minutes. Sweat does not make the hands slide on the mat when doing yoga or stretching. The cushion is excellent even though the mat is thin. And, I have plantar fasciitis, so this is a big compliment. I only wish it came in a larger/wider size since I now want to purchase another one and somehow tie/sew them together!

I bought this mat for Hypnobabies class and it is very thick and cushy. If you have coccydynia you'll still need a cushion but it's at least 2x as thick as traditional yoga mat.
