These speakers are great! Not an audiophile myself, but did a bunch of research and these seemed to be the way to go. Had them for a couple months and I am REALLY IMPRESSED! Great price!

I got these to replace my factory speakers in my 2008 Honda Accord coupe with the premium sound. They are more clear, but don't let the 270 watt claim fool you. These have lower wattage requirements than other upgrades (and other JL's) but still sound better with an amp. The factory speakers off the head unit weren't as clear but had better mid base and I think volume. Once amped, they came alive! They aren't gonna scream like higher models but they are where I wanted speakers to be. I had Kickers (DS 6.5" I think) in my 2007 Toyota off factory deck and they sounded great without an amp and a Bazooka topped them off. I might have been okay with DS Kickers again and not needed an amp, but these JL's with an amp I already was gonna get for my 12" Kicker Comps...this is good stuff! You can't ever go wrong with JL. Some reviews said they used as factory replacements, maybe my other car was different (tho rated less watts) but I had to amp these (and yes, they have a capasitor on them). Price wasn't bad for JL's.
