I've been loosing my hair because I had cervical cancer and surgery in May of this year (I didn't need chemo/or radiation). However, I noticed that my hair began to shed a lot in 2009. At that time had chemical-free, waist length, very thick biracial (black and white) hair. My hair grade ranges from 2a to 3c. Three months after sugery this year my hair began falling out in very large handfuls, which I've read is commonplace after a major surgery. I spoke to a friend who recommeded this product. I have been using it for about a month now and have notice A LOT LESS hair falling out. I have also began taking A LOT more vitamins as well to help from going bald. More about that latter.First, I really like the shampoo (although it lathers and many people dont like the chemicals that make shampoo lather because they strip hair), I am enjoying how it cleans my hair but doesn't make it feel too dry. It also has a pleasant smell IMO. The conditioner in the combination set however, I'm not to impressed by, it is not moisturizing enough for my texture hair. I like conditioner with a lot of slip and this doesn't have much or enough for my type of hair. I however really like the deep conditioner/reconstructor. I've been using it weekly and my hair seems more strong. The best part of the combination set I believe is the oxygenating treatment. It smells pretty good and has really stopped the hairs falling out from the bulb. I followed all of the directions and must say these products can help with at least some of your hair loss. I made parts in my hair day and night put the drops on the parts and gave myself a nice head message every morning and night, which can be time consuming but I thought the extra time was worth not going bald!As for the vitamins I've been using well I'm taking biotin, silica, MSM and a multivitamin. I'm also eating ground flaxseed because I've read that can help your hair. I'm 38 so I'm not interested in growing my hair as long as it once was but to have nice very thick shoulder length hair again in my future would be wonderful one day! I don't usually write reviews but I thought that it may help someone who maybe in my same situation and doesn't know if they could even stop the hair loss. I writing that it can help to stop the lose but what I have yet to find out is if new hair will now grow back in eventually?? Only time can tell. Maybe in about a year, I can write a review letting people know if that has occurred :) Good luck everyone but more importantly GOOD HEALTH!!
