Easy install, functions as advertised

Installation went well. Their use of drag wires to install the bolts up in the frame was clever and well implemented. This hitch is on a VW Jetta, so it will never be used to tow huge loads, just a small utility trailer and a bike rack. Workmanship of the hitch was good and the price through Amazon was great, especially with free shipping.

Installed on my 2011 VW Jetta TDI manual transmission. Very easy to install, no drilling required. Recommend viewing installation video at e-trailer.com for 2006 Jetta (same exact installation). Took approx 1.5 hours to install and I didn't get in a hurry. Very high build / paint quality. I own other Curt products and I looked around before I purchased this Curt hitch, decided on purchasing this after veiwing other mfg products.It is heavy duty compared to the components it attaches to on the vehicle. Nothing wrong with that I like heavy duty.Pulls my medium / heavy 4 x 8 trailer loaded very well, manual transmission turbo diesel probably doesn't hurt that perception.

I have a 3500 truck but sometimes what I have to go get is too small for that truck where I can just hook up the trailer to my 06 Jetta and go. Very easy to install, no drilling required, but there is some cutting into some plastic. I looked around before I purchased this hitch, I like the tubular construction and how it is heavy duty compared to the components it attaches to on the vehicle, I like how it came with extra plates to stiffen these area where the bolts go through. I have pulled an 5 x 12 trailer loaded very well with pallets, and 4x8 trailer loaded with fiberglass shells and my lawnmower. The car had no problem pulling it and the trailer rode great.
