Excellent lotion for babies and toddlers

I have been using Nature's Baby Moisturizer for 2,5 years, ever since my son was born. While it does have a pleasant smell, it's important to remember that artificial fragrances and perfumes need to be avoided, not naturally occurring ones. Do you think mint has any artificial fragrance? No, it is naturally very strongly fragrant. Same idea here, as long as the fragrance is not separately added in any form, it's fine.Also, I avoid products that contain lavender, even though it is a natural ingredient, typically used for fragrance (supposed to soothe babies). Lavender is estrogenic so I did not and do not want my baby (boy or girl) absorbing unnecessary hormones. Studies show that small amounts do pass through lotions, especially when used frequently. So I was happy to see that Nature's Baby Moisturizer does not contain any lavender.Nature's Baby Moisturizer is easy to apply and gets absorbed fairly quickly. It does not leave oily residue or cause any harm to the baby's clothes. Skin is left soft and smooth. I noticed that it even helps with diaper rashes! I also apply this around the diaper area to relieve discomfort of the diaper rubbing on my son's skin.Overall, it's a wonderful product, and I recommend it to all of my friends.

Just so you know, this says unscented but it DOES have a scent.I like it; it smells like roses.It's a light smell and must be naturally occurring in the herbs or something.It's thick yet absorbs well.

Not pleased

This lotion has a very light, silky texture and a not unpleasant scent. I don't think it's too strong-smelling, unlike some other reviewers. I personally wish it was a little creamier to hold more moisture in. To me, this is like a face lotion for an adult - almost like Oil of Olay, but lighter. Anyway, the reason I'm giving it two stars, besides the fact I think it's too light to moisturize very well, is that on both my children, it turned their faces red within a minute or two. It didn't do it anywhere else on their body, but faces are extra sensitive. Maybe it was the citric acid in it, I don't know. Anyway, I had to wash it off and put something else on them. I was very disappointed in this, especially since I got two bottles.Edited to add: I was going to use the two bottles on myself since it turned my childrens' faces red. It also turned MY face red. However, it seems to do ok on my body and my four year old's body.
