After having either owned or used 3 other companies' units I have to grade this one "middle of the road". It works fine, rarely locks up and seems to show current position well. It also recalculates very quickly. One downside is with the POIs. Another manufacturers' unit spoiled me by allowing me to see POIs up to 300 miles away along my route letting me plan my fuel stops and ten hour break locations. This unit only displays POIs within maybe 25 miles. And about those other companies' "free online updates", free is great but only if they are accurate. PC Miler charges for their updates and I'm not sure they are any more accurate than those from brand X but I will find out soon because my unit needs one. This unit also allows me to put in multiple stops and see total miles too, however, I can only see the total miles during the planning stage of a trip. Once I command the unit to "drive" it will only show time and distance to the next stop. Another annoyance is the lack of customization available for the various display windows. I can't select the amount of drive time left to the destination. Only arrival time is available. This, by the way, is the local time of the destination so you are forced to subtract present time from the arrive time displayed and then factor in any time zone differences to see how long you have left to the destination. Most other units I've used a would at least show time to destination. This is a referbished unit so the amount I paid is about right for what I got. . I'm not sure I could spend full price though.

P c miler is everything you want and need to navigate across this great nation if you use it right you will always be on time for a delivery or pick up ... All the other GPS units just don't match up to pc miler.. Nuff said.
