Easy hitch to install.

Did quite a bit of research before buying this for my Subaru. Found an installation video online before purchasing. Just make sure you own or have access to the larger drill bits.

I installed this on my 2011 Subaru Legacy in order to attach a hitch mount bicycle rack. This thing fits perfectly, only 1/8" between the lower body and the top of the hitch. The close fit combined with the round tube design and power coated finish looks really good (as good as a trailer hitch can look).Installation took me about 2 hours. You need a die grinder to enlarge the openings that the bolts are "fished" through, and the heat shield above the muffler has to be removed and trimmed slightly with snips to create clearance where the hitch bolts onto the left side. The instructions are very clear on how to do this and the fish wires that are supplied to allow the bolts to be pulled into place are really an ingenious design.Pros:perfect fitsolid designunobtrusivepowder coat finishCons:Requires some grindingRequires trimming the heat shieldI would recommend this hitch to anyone looking to attach a bike rack or pull a small trailer.
