Socket Cap Screws are reliable and durable and are used in many applications. They are available in a variety of head styles and materials.
Alloy Steel is steel that has been alloyed with other materials to improve overall physical properties. Steels are designated by a 4 number SAE Steel grade. The first two digits indicate the primary materials used to form the steel. The last 2 digits identify the percentage of carbon for the alloy (in hundredths). Tensile strength ranges for the alloys typically used in these fasteners range from 170,000 to 180,000 psi (pounds per square inch), making these amongst the strongest of materials.
Button head style fasteners combine the driving ease of a socket cap screw (using hex socket for driving) with the smooth, rounded appearance of a round-head screw. Hex socket drive systems are driven by hex wrenches or power tools with hexagonal bits.

Might be better off finding these elsewhere

I used these inside my car to hold aluminum door panels to the door. They arent exposed to water but are exposed to humidity. The caps show signs of rust however the rust somewhat wipes away. It does come back eventually but they do not stay black even after not being exposed to water. They are strong and didnt have any of them break on me. I would buy again for non-visual applications.

Hex drive Steel screws

The screws arrived on time and work well - just as advertised. We use them in a robotics class and the students often lose them or use too many. These replacements were an excellent buy, a lot less than those locally available. We don't have anything like a "mission critical" application, more a simple classroom/hobbyist situation. They fit the bill fine.
