My son hooked it to a high end set of Altec Lansing computer speakers and it sounds great. I even got in on the action since its a blast to use with two ipods. It will use any audio source through a mini jack but it does have two connectors for your Ipods.I dont know what people expect for something this price but its fun, portable and is great for kids on long drives..(headphones please)If anything it will get your youth DJ off and running for a minimal investment.

I was looking for a DJ mixer for my son's 11 year birthday. He loves music and has always wanted one. I found so many to choose from online but non of them seemed to be kid friendly and they were also very pricey. This one was perfect since he just got a new i-phone for Christmas. It works great and is pretty easy to learn. I thought it was really neat how you can have the I-pod going and also connect any MP3 player to fade in and out of different songs. My son had a blast and was so excited to use it. Not for someone looking to be a professional DJ but this can be for a beginner or just for kids to have fun on. The only thing is that the last review said that it comes with a microphone. Mine did not come with a microphone, but you can add a microphone. Also, you need your own speakers as well otherwise you can only hear it by using headphones. All in all we are really pleased with this and the price was just right!
