Interesting enough..

I am usually pretty cautious when spending alot of money on a flute, being that the flute market is very exspensive. And so I took a chance on this sale, and It was well worth it!The flute has a very interesting tone to it, Its deep but alot quietier than any of my other flutes, and It has a slight buzzing sound, but a delightful one. Its very hard to describe. Ive had other flutes that buzzed because the wood was cracked and vibrating or the sound hole edge was a bit chipped, causeing a very annoying buzz, but this is not the case. It may be that the sound hole is just very sensitive. Adjusting the fetish and useing a little more breath control I can eliminate it. However I enjoy it. I would not say that this flute is for small hands because the flute is shaped rectangluar and requires a bit more thumb strech. But the holes are close together.the flute is aprox 26 inches overall length. Inside the bore you can tell it was hand done by the edge that shows slightly where it was glued but the the entire flute is well carved and polished well.The stand is also well done, polished and looks great. The bag is soft and the flute fits (even though I'd still try not to drop it). The package also included the music and teaching cds and booklet which is nice for beginners. the songs played are done very simpley to where you can almost mimic them by ear and then add lib to it as much as you want.most base flutes are around 260 to 450 dollars on the market amongst many flute makers and does not include the wood stand or bag, (does not mean that they are not high quality) But this artist so far offers the best deal that ive seen for the package.hope this helps, and good luck!
