Possibly one of the finest!

I just arrived back from a 4 day pack trip, having only the Falkniven A1 as my all around tool. Handling common tasks such as splitting logs, trimming trees in the camp area, ETC, it performed superbly! Following such activity, it served as a camp kitchen knife and as a skinning tool.The A1 completed each task above and beyond my expectation. After using it to open several food cans, the blade shows no signs of wear or chipping.The handle is comfortable and grips very well.The sheath it comes with, rides very well on my belt, due to the large loop used to attach it. Gone are the days of blade and sheath poking uncomfortably!It has proven its worth after 4 days in the fields using it as often as possible to see its strengths and weaknesses.Result?Pros- best knife I have ever owned!Cons- NoneOne year after purchase- I am completely impressed with this knife quality and design.Over the year that I have owned it now, it has been on 22 camping trips, 4 diving trips, yes it functions as a dive knife also, and is still performing common daily tasks above and beyond my expectations! It's still razor sharp and I have yet to sharpen it after all this time.I will finish by stating dimply that this is the last mutli-use knife you will ever need to purchase!

I chose a 5-star rating because I've done a lot of reading on the product before purchasing, and the knife lives up to the hype in every way. It handles the roughest of treatment and conditions with no ill effects, it truly appears to be indestructible! There is simply nothing about the knife that I dislike. I would recommend it to anybody wanting a survival knife for lifelong use.

I followed the reviews and decided to get this knife. It sure seems like its quality made. My only beef would be that I wish the handle were about a half-inch longer. I also would have preferred the convex edge, but not a big deal.
