Great watch with a strong tick-tock

This is a classy watch, especially for the price. It doesn't pull hairs. The gear movement is beautiful; what you see moving is the brass-colored components, the second hand, and the timing wheel/rocking thingy. You can easily "see" how much tension is on the winding spring, but it moves too slowly to really notice. The watch band has the company name, M. Johansson, on the inside and (lightly) on the clasp - it's very classy and well done.The watch is stainless steel and rated to 5 atm, so you can wash your hands but not your dishes with it on. (I don't know why anyone would wash their dishes with such a fine peice on their wrist.) The ticking is delightfully loud (I measured 61 decibels if you held it all the way to your ear). There are about four ticks per second. I can hear it anywhere in a silent room, but only within a few feet if I try to muffle the noise by putting it in a drawer. If you can't sleep with clock ticking, then you would have to put this watch in another room.It is a little difficult to see the blue hands in dim lighting, but this isn't the style of watch to have indigo backlighting so I don't hold it against it.

This was a gift to my 17 year old son. He absolutely loves it and can't keep his eyes off it. Packaged well, and came way before the expect arrival date. Very Happy.
