great shower head

I have low water pressure, but this product works very well with it. Based on the leading consumer reporting magazine it is top rated and deserves that rating. I first bought the highly rated American Standard single setting shower head, which produced a good flow, but it did not spread out wide enough for me. The Moen has a good wide spread with both soft and more intense flows. It was easy to change settings, and I liked about 4 or 5 of the settings, but will most likely use only one or two at a time. The pricing on Amazon is off the mark, it appears as $77 to $127, depending on how you enter the site to find this product. However, you can get this model for $50 at some local retailers.

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R27NFAQCI1HEI1 I recently got interested in finding the best reasonably priced shower head on the market, and this one caught my eye as it was rated the #1 shower head in a recent Consumer Reports review. I've compared several models (Speakman 2005, Waterpik Aquascape, Moen Inspire) and this model easily comes out on top. Here is why:First the quality of the shower head is very impressive. It looks and feels like a top of the line product. The body of the shower head is made out of polished metal, which gives it a elegant look. The settings are all very easy to change, and smoothly transition from one to the next. The only downfall is that the attachment point is made out of plastic. This isn't a huge concern, but I would think that it wouldn't last quite as long as one made out of metal (such as in the case of the Speakman 2005). I didn't have any problems installing mine, and was able to get it nice and tight (and with no leaks whatsoever) without using any tools or Teflon tape. The instructions don't mention the use of Teflon tape, but a small roll is included in case you do need some to stop it from leaking.The reason this shower head stands above the rest is because of the vast number of modes and the amazing water pressure! This modes vary from a misting water saving mode, to a typical rain like mode, to a message mode that could give a pressure washer a run for its money. This model also has VERY impressive water pressure! It has a flow restrictor installed, but it can easily be removed in case you have low water pressure at your home, or just want the most pressure possible. Removing it is very easy. All you have to do is look down the stem of the shower head and remove the rubber seal with your finger tips. Once you've done that you are going to see a little plastic piece with a small rubber O ring in the middle of it. It looks similar to a flow restrictor that would screw on to the bottom of your kitchen faucet. Then take a pair of needle nose pliers and grab onto one of the center prongs and pull upward. The restrictor should easily come out without any damage to it.I really couldn't ask for anymore in a shower head. It has incredible power, a great variety of modes, and looks and feels like a top of the line item. If you are in the market for a new shower head, do yourself a favor and pick this one up!

I purchased this showerhead a few weeks ago from a different retailer before I saw it here. It was a quick and simple installation - just used the tape recommended on the package (purchased separately) - no leaks at all. I do not have good water pressure so was concerned that this might not work well but it is really a great showerhead and I love all of the settings. I am fixing to buy another one for my guest bathroom as I am so pleased with this one - it is definitely the high quality you expect from Moen products.
