4A Good Start
By Reid Stetson
We selected the WARE Premium + Chick-N-Lodge as the base for a chicken tractor as my carpentry skills are poor. The design is practical and the construction solid. We found that stickers identifying the panels might have been helpful but assembly was easy otherwise.A couple of items stand out as problems though. The latches are not tamper-resistant. In fact one is mounted upside down. Any critter flipping the latch would be rewarded with the slide bolt dropping open. We will add spring-loaded hooks and eyes on all doors. We're also adding hardware cloth to the bottom of the unit for additional safety. Finally the wood is rather light and thin so adding reenforcements will be needed for our use.Although we will make a few more modifications, all in all we are very happy with this purchase and look forward to several years of use.

4My first coop
By Vermont solar
Well, it's actually my chicken's first coop. I struggled with whether to build my own coop or purchase a kit such as this one. I'm pleased with my decision. The coop is easy to assemble and the instructions are clear. I did purchase the nesting box with the coop to provide some extra room for my four girls. I also removed the storage area and allowed it to be more access for the birds; it makes a nice secluded place for the hanging feeder - out of any wind. After introducing the new birds to the coop, they had explored every inch within a few hours. Each gave me the nod of approval. This coop is light enough to be moved around the yard. I did add two handles to the back to allow easy hand grips for lifting. I don't think you could house more than four birds in this coop. The coop is attractive and although the wood is thin, I judge it to be acceptible for my current needs. Th four star rating is for the hardware, which I found too easily bends - I replaced the clean out bolt and also added insolation to the floor for added warmth. I recommend this for any beginner.

4100% duck compatible
By Kol Birke
These are also great for duck coops. I highly recommend them for fresh duck eggs. Little known fact, ducks and chickens get along very well in a single coop.
