A real small make...

I tried on a L in this jacket at a local retailer (which is the size I would normally wear), and it was too small for me. I figured I would order an XL and it would fit perfectly. But the XL fits almost exactly as the L. It's a very small make, and I am very surprised at the size difference between a L and XL. I am very surprised how small the XL is, and would definately not fit most XL friends I have.

Nice Jacket!

This is very comfortable and a durable jacket. However, I still need to test it in a storm. I think it will survive a storm and keep me dry!

To start, Helly items run small! Luckily, I was able to try one of these jackets on in my normal size (M) and it was too small. The Large was just fine!The zip-in feature (like most of the upper-end jackets have nowadays) is great. Living in Florida, I can use it as a rain jacket most of the year, then zip-in the fleece for a colder weather jacket for the few months I need it. The breathability of the jacket is amazing. I never get sweaty wearing it when it warms up a little (or I warm up a little) and it has the zippable armpit areas for extra breathability.The jacket is very waterproof and the hood will stay flipped up, if you will, to allow the water coming down the hood to run off the side, rather than in your face over the front of the hood. Handy feature when it's raining or there is a tropical storm...Overall, great jacket for the price. I hope to have mine for a long time!
