Shiny new circuit board for an aging spa heater

I have a Pentair MiniMax 400 spa heater. Its ability to keep the spa within a reasonable temperature range was going south. The "spa" knob had quit working altogether.Doing some research I found the model number of the board replacement - 470179. Ordered the board from an Amazon retailer and installed it. Everything seems to be back to full working order at a very reasonable price.Installation was very simple, if you've installed a motherboard in a PC it's not much different. Cut power to the unit. Make note of where the wires go. Disconnect them by gently pulling off the connectors. Use some needle-nose pliers to squeeze the white plastic clips that hold the old circuit board into place. Install new circuit board by pressing it down onto the clips. Just re-install the wiring as it came off.There was only one non-critical difference between this and the old board - the Pool and Spa switch wires have been changed so they no longer need to "Cross over" on their way to the circuit board. Getting it backwards just causes the switch to not point towards the knob that's controlling your temperature. Easy to disconnect and re-connect in the new order.So happy to have found this here, and get away with an affordable spa repair!

Just Perfect

After my husband spoke with the pool supply house and told me the price to replace our original circuit board, I checked with amazon and, of course, saved quite of bit of money. He installed it and had the pool/spa working shortly.
