Product Description
While at first glance, it may be in your best interest to shop around. Know that when you purchase RAM from Komputerbay, you're getting Grade-A brand name computer memory. Cheap computer memory, while possibly being compatible, can cause system crashes, error codes in your computer, and even damage to your motherboard! Other sellers may offer you similar looking products for a few cents or a dollar less, but here's the scoop on why: they sell cheap-grade memory and they don't test the modules before shipping! This ends up costing you time and money. Trust when you buy from Komputerbay, you are getting top of the line product from a top of the line company.
We test every module before it leaves the building, and back all of our purchases up with a LIFETIME WARRANTY!
- PC2-4300/PC2-4200 (533MHz)
- DDR2
- 240 Pin
- Desktop memory Upgrade
- Non ECC, Non parity
- Unbuffered
- 1.8V
- Cas Latency 4.0
- Lifetime Warranty
Komputerbay's strategy is simple - we have eliminated all the distributors/brokers/agent/etc so as to bring the goods directly from the manufacturer to the end user. By doing so - ours costs go down which in turn brings the selling price down. As far as the warranty is concerned- it's even simpler - the warranty is being provided by the manufacturer who in this situation also happens to be the seller. No more looking for manufacturer's contact information anymore!

I'm doing the happy dance and my old Dell has a lot more memory
By S. Farrell
Like many home computer users I fall into the `just enough to be dangerous' category. I'll try almost anything with my older computer and hope I don't make a big mess of it. It's an old machine that takes the old and expensive ram. I wanted to keep it going but didn't want to dump a ton of money on ram into an old machine. When I first ordered my ram I ordered the wrong type for my seven year old Dell Precision Workstation. The ram didn't fit the slots. However, I was able to get help identifying the ram I needed and email those details to Komputer Bay. I shipped back the ram and Komputer Bay sent out new ram that fit my computer's specifications. I installed it and my computer recognized it and I'm doing the happy dance!

Upgrade for a Dell
By C. Brinn
I bought this for a client of mine. He was upgrading his office to Windows 7 and rather than buy a whole new computer, I convinced him to up grade. I was having trouble finding PC4200 on Newegg, usually my go to place for tech stuff.Memory arrived in good time as promised, and functions as it should.

Very nice product
By A. Mutrib
A friend of mine has an old PC with 2GB of RAM and WinXP. Last month he asked my help to upgrade to Win7 for added functionality. I told him he needs 4GB RAM if he really needs a fast PC.So, I went to look for a place to buy DDR2 that's not faster than 533Mhz (i.e. PC2 4200) since his mother board is won't accept newer models. The only company that carried such model was Komputerbay. So, I did put the order and got the modules. Once I got them I went a head and installed the two DIMMS. Switched on the PC and Windows is stuck on boot logo! I did a lot of checking and found that it was the new DIMMS. After more checking I found the BIOS is very old on his OptiPlex GX520. So, I went a head and upgraded the BIOS and that solved the issue. Thanks Komputerbay.
