Product Description
All Curt hitches feature WeatherTite construction, which prevents rusting from the inside out by sealing the main body of the hitch. The receiver tube has an open back end to allow for easy cleaning and for dirt and moisture to pass through and not get trapped as is common with other brands of hitches. All Curt hitches come with mounting hardware and installation instructions. Curt is the only hitch company in the industry that mechanically de-scales all of their hitches before applying a thick powder coat finish, which is baked on for a high-gloss, smooth surface. Curt trailer hitches are simply the most attractive, most durable and toughest hitch on the market.

Good quality, but using a cargo basket will void your warranty.
By M. Rowe
This is my second CURT hitch receiver. They are both extremely well-made and corrosion-resistant. Installation was a breeze, and the fit on the vehicle is superb. My only complaint is that the paperwork accompanying the receiver indicates that using non-trailer loads (bike carrier, cargo basket, etc) will void your warranty. That would have been good information to have before purchasing.

Great price and easy to install
By Christopher Mendez
I bought this hitch to carry our bikes. I was able to install it pretty easily by myself. it would have been easier if I had a floor jack, but I was able to install it without lifting the Subie at all.

Solid product, picture varies from that shown but fits fine
By Rogertheshrubber
This is a well-made product. It took me probably 2-1/2 hours to install due to the difficulty of lowering the muffler (I hate working on exhausts). The most effective way of removing and installing the rubber hangers was to oil up the rods, then just brace myself and pull on them with my bare hands. Once the exhaust was lowered, installation was not difficult but hard work.2 of the shims would not fit correctly because they were too wide. Particularly the rearmost ones. I had to grind on them for maybe 20-30 minutes with an angle grinder in order to make them fit. A lot of people won't have this tool and might have to spend extra money at a machine shop to have them cut, or do without them and install the hitch wrong. If not for this problem, it would be a 5-star product.
