Works well
By Adam Helberg
I bought mine at a local Target. You simple set the dials to the weight you want and when you lift the handle it only lifts the weight you set, the others stay in the plastic stand. Once you lift the bar the dials are locked and cannot be turned. It's an ingenious system with a plastic disk that fits into a slot in the weight to keep it from coming off. It's compact, looks neat and is not noisy. I prefer this over the pin system sold at Walmart.

Great cheap alternative to weight set
By Akirax187
I bought two of these recently, as I've been buying individual weights and they took up a lot of space. Moving around every year or so also made it a hassle. So I picked these up and they definitely save a ton of space. They work well too. You simple turn the dials to the set weight you want, you pick it up and start working out. You can drop them down and switch weights easily and in no time. There are three weights on each side of the weight: two 2.5 pound discs, and one 5 pound disc. The bar itself weights 5 pounds. While this is set to work as 5-25 pounds, I recommend against using it for a 5 pound weight. The shape of the weight makes it very awkward to go through motions when it isn't holding any actual discs. The downside is that the weights clack around (but not enough to throw off balance), so its more of a noise issue than anything else. Not too loud, but since individual weights make no sound at all, it might be an issue for some people.overall I'm pretty satisfied with my purchase. They work perfectly and save me a lot of space.

Don't know how it works, but it does.
By IndyGuy01
This is a great item. The dials are very easy to turn, but hold extremely well once you lift the weight off it's base. Quick and easy to use and change weight increments. Only drawback for me is the price, but for the durability (and comparable items) I guess I'll let it slide.
