Easy to install, relatively inexpensive blinds

The 'Redi Shade Simple Fit Made to Width Custom Cordless Honeycomb Cellular Shades, Cream Blackout' are easy to install and relatively inexpensive (compared to custom order blinds, like Hunter Douglas). However, because of the space needed to accommodate the no drill mounting mechanism, there is a noticeable amount of light leaks on the sides of the blinds - about 1/4" on the left side and 1/2" on the right side. For the two windows in the room I have these blinds installed in, they do get the room pretty dark when there is bright, direct sunlight outside. But the light leaks on the sides do illuminate the room more than I would like.So it's a tradeoff on whether you are willing to pay for custom blinds that will have a tighter fit and less light leakage, or if you can live with it and save yourself some time and money. The Redi Shade blinds arrived quickly and again were easy to install.I measured and double-checked precisely the exact width of the window, and I also emailed the Redi Shade company directly. They specified to order exactly your precise width measurement and to not factor in any buffer for the mounting mechanism. I found this guidance to be spot on - the tension mounting mechanism worked as advertised. (If you really want the tightest fit possible though, you can add at MOST an additional 1/8" to your measurement. My two cents though - YMMV.)

Super Easy to install, Looks Great!

This shade really was simple to install, it actually took longer to measure my window to order the right size than it did to click it into place. We are going to order more for our other windows now that we know how easy they are and how good they look! It blocks out the light well, too. The other thing I like is that there are no holes to drill in the wall, trim, window casing - nowhere! If you ever want to remove it, just pop it back out and no holes left behind.
